Inspiring the Leader Engineer: Instilling the Burning Desire and Confidence to Change the World
About
Creating the burning desire and confidence to deliver world-changing solutions.
We need to deliver world-changing solutions. We need Engineering Leaders to deliver these world-changing solutions. This is a story of how we built and are executing a program that impacts undergraduate students, graduate students, leaders, and their organizations.
We built an integrated program to “help students discover their burning desire and confidence to deliver world-changing solutions”.
The undergraduate “All Get Some, Some Get All” program helps prepare students to be more creative, innovative, creative, and accountable. The program is executing a repeatable portfolio of experiences to increase a student’s awareness, understanding, and capability. Students are engaged in the program and in helping other students be successful. We are providing the foundation for life-long learning of the technical leader.
The graduate “Solution Delivery” master’s program helps the working professional to lead project teams that deliver innovative solutions. The program is executing a repeatable program to increase a student’s innovation, leadership, strategy, decision-making, and systems engineering skills. These students are taking their skills and applying them to real-world opportunities in their workplaces. We providing the environment for professionals to continue their life-long learning.
The executive “Learning Community” program helps leaders address opportunities facing their organizations. The program provided a learning community setting in which organizations and their leaders could share best practices. The learnings from the executive program led to the creation of the graduate program which led to the creation of the undergraduate program.
We have learned and continue to learn from experience. We offer a set of lessons learned on how to develop and execute an Engineering Leadership and Innovation institute.
